IBA1

IBA1 (Ionized calcium-binding adaptor molecule 1), also called allograft inflammatory factor 1 (AIF 1), is a well-established marker for microglia/macrophages. It is a 17-kDa EF hand calcium binding protein and it is upregulated during the activation of microglia/macrophages.

We also offer antibodies against another excellent marker for microglia, TMEM119 which is able to distinguish between microglia and macrophages.
