|Cat. No. 188-0P||100 µg protein, lyophilized. For reconstitution add 100 µl H2O to get a 1mg/ml solution in TBS. Then aliquot and store at -20°C until use.|
|Immunogen||Recombinant protein corresponding to AA 2 to 314 from human MAP2-4 hu (UniProt Id: P11137-4)|
|Recommended dilution||Optimal concentrations should be determined by the end-user.|
|Matching antibodies||188 002, 188 003, 188 004, 188 006, 188 011, 188 011BT|
|Remarks||This control protein consists of the recombinant protein (aa 2-314 of human MAP 2 isoform 4) that has been used for immunization. It has been tested in preadsorption experiments and blocks efficiently and specifically the corresponding signal in Western blots. The amount of protein needed for efficient blocking depends on the titer and on the affinity of the antibody to the antigen.|
There are two major classes of heat stable microtubule associated proteins (MAPs): MAP 2, and tau. Both protein classes are involved in the regulation of microtubule polymerization in cells.
Four differentially regulated isoforms of MAP 2 have been described so far.
