TECPR1 peptide - 458-0P

TECPR1 is a tethering factor involved in autophagy
control peptide
Cat. No.: 458-0P
Amount: 100 µg
Price: $105.00
Cat. No. 458-0P 100 µg peptide, lyophilized. For reconstitution add 100 µl H2O to get a 1mg/ml solution in PBS. Then aliquot and store at -20°C to -80°C until use.
Control peptides should be stored at -20°C when still lyophilized!
Applications

Immunogen Synthetic peptide corresponding to AA 1115 to 1134 from rat Tecpr1 (UniProt Id: Q3ZBA0)
Matching antibodies 458 003
Remarks

This control peptide consists of the synthetic peptide (aa 1115 to 1134 of rat Tecpr1) that has been used for immunization. It has been tested in preadsorption experiments and blocks efficiently and specifically the corresponding signal in Western blots. The amount of peptide needed for efficient blocking depends on the titer and on the affinity of the antibody to the antigen.

Background

Tectonin beta-propeller repeat-containing protein 1 (TECPR1) consists of two WD-repeat domains (TR), two dysferlin domains, an unstructured region and a PH domain (1). It is involved in autophagy by promoting autophagosome fusion with lysosomes (2) by associating with the ATG5-ATG12 conjugate and phosphatidylinositol-3-phosphate (PtdIns3P) present at the surface of autophagosomes (3). TECPR1 has also been shown to participate in selective autophagy against bacterial pathogens (4) and aggrephagy of protein aggregats that accompany neurodegenarative diseases (5).
