Rab7a peptide - 320-0P

Rab7a is a key regulator in endo-lysosomal trafficking
control peptide
Cat. No.: 320-0P
Amount: 100 µg
Price: $105.00
Cat. No. 320-0P 100 µg peptide, lyophilized. For reconstitution add 100 µl H2O to get a 1mg/ml solution in PBS. Then aliquot and store at -20°C to -80°C until use.
Control peptides should be stored at -20°C when still lyophilized!
Applications

Immunogen Synthetic peptide corresponding to AA 185 to 205 from mouse Rab7a (UniProt Id: P51150)
Recommended dilution Optimal concentrations should be determined by the end-user.
Matching antibodies 320 003
Remarks

This control peptide consists of the synthetic peptide (aa 185 -205) that has been used for immunization. It has been tested in preadsorption experiments and blocks efficiently and specifically the corresponding signal in Western blots. The amount of peptide needed for efficient blocking depends on the titer and on the affinity of the antibody to the antigen.

Background
Rab 7 is a member of the Rab protein family that belongs to the ras-related superfamily of small monomeric GTPases. Rab 7 is ubiquitously expressed in different tissues where it controls membrane trafficking from early to late endosome and to lysosomes. Rab 7 is also involved in the maturation of phagosome and autophagic vacuoles.
