Syntaxin12/13 protein - 110-13P

Syntaxin12/13 is a syntaxin family member functioning in the recycling of plasma membrane receptors
control protein
Cat. No.: 110-13P
Amount: 100 µg
Price: $105.00
Cat. No. 110-13P 100 µg protein, lyophilized. For reconstitution add 100 µl H2O to get a 1mg/ml solution in TBS. Then aliquot and store at -20°C to -80°C until use.
Control proteins should be stored at +4°C when still lyophilized. Do not freeze!
Applications

Immunogen Recombinant protein corresponding to AA 1 to 250 from rat Syntaxin12/13 (UniProt Id: G3V7P1)
Recommended dilution Optimal concentrations should be determined by the end-user.
Matching antibodies 110 131, 110 132, 110 133
Remarks

This control protein consists of the cytoplasmic domain of rat syntaxin 13 that has been used for immunization. It has been tested in preadsorption experiments and blocks efficiently and specifically the corresponding signal in Western blots. The amount of protein needed for efficient blocking depends on the titer and on the affinity of the antibody to the antigen.

Background
Syntaxin 12/13 are orthologues of the same gene whose product is a member of the SNARE family of proteins. It is related to syntaxins 1-4 but is localized predominantly to early endosomes of a wide variety of cells. Syntaxin 12/13 appears to be involved in the recycling of membrane receptors such as the transferrin receptors where it mediates the fusion of endosomal membranes.
