GRIP protein - 151-0P

GRIP is a post-synaptic multi-PDZ domain protein
control protein
Cat. No.: 151-0P
Amount: 100 µg
Price: $105.00
Cat. No. 151-0P 100 µg protein, lyophilized. For reconstitution add 100 µl H2O to get a 1mg/ml solution in TBS. Then aliquot and store at -20°C to -80°C until use.
Control proteins should be stored at +4°C when still lyophilized. Do not freeze!
Applications

Immunogen Recombinant protein corresponding to AA 662 to 769 from rat GRIP (UniProt Id: P97879)
Recommended dilution Optimal concentrations should be determined by the end-user.
Matching antibodies 151 002, 151 003
Remarks

This control protein consists of the recombinant protein of rat GRIP (aa 662 - 769) that has been used for immunization. It has been tested in preadsorption experiments and blocks efficiently and specifically the corresponding signal in Western blots. The amount of protein needed for efficient blocking depends on the titer and on the affinity of the antibody to the antigen.

Background

The glutamate receptor interacting protein GRIP is a post-synaptic scaffolding protein consisting of seven PDZ domains. It has been shown to interact with a diverse array of proteins like several AMPA receptors, HAP1-A, liprin-α and LAR receptor protein tyrosine phosphatases (LAR-RPTPs).
GRIP is also involved in the synaptic targeting of AMPA receptors.
