Remarks

This antibody is a chimeric antibody based on the monoclonal mouse antibody clone 215A9. The constant regions of the heavy and light chains have been replaced by Guinea pig specific sequences. Therefore, the antibody can be used with standard anti-Guinea pig secondary reagents. The antibody has been expressed in mammalian cells.

Background
The norepinephrine (NE) transporter (NET), also referred to as Sodium-dependent noradrenaline transporter, is expressed on the plasma membranes of noradrenergic neurons. It is responsible for the inactivation of synaptically released NE and is a target for many antidepressants and psychostimulants.
