P31 protein - 187-0P

P31 is a SNARE protein involved in retrograde Golgi to ER transport
control protein
Cat. No.: 187-0P
Amount: 100 µg
Price: $105.00
Cat. No. 187-0P 100 µg protein, lyophilized. For reconstitution add 100 µl H2O to get a 1mg/ml solution in TBS. Then aliquot and store at -20°C to -80°C until use.
Control proteins should be stored at +4°C when still lyophilized. Do not freeze!
Applications

Immunogen Recombinant protein corresponding to AA 4 to 232 from human P31 (UniProt Id: Q9NZ43)
Recommended dilution Optimal concentrations should be determined by the end-user.
Matching antibodies 187 003
Remarks

This control protein consists of the recombinant protein (aa 4 - 232 of human p 31) that has been used for immunization. It has been tested in preadsorption experiments and blocks efficiently and specifically the corresponding signal in Western blots. The amount of protein needed for efficient blocking depends on the titer and on the affinity of the antibody to the antigen.

Background

Distinct sets of SNARE proteins mediate membrane-membrane fusion events between different intracellular compartments. P 31, a Use 1 homolog, is a Qc-SNARE protein and locates to the endoplasmatic reticulum (ER).Together with syntaxin 18, Sec 22b and BNIP 1 it mediates retrograde traffic from the Golgi to the ER.
