Syntaxin2 protein - 110-2P

Syntaxin2 is an ubiquitous plasma membrane protein involved in fusion of vesicles with the plasma membrane
control protein
Cat. No.: 110-2P
Amount: 100 µg
Price: $105.00
Cat. No. 110-2P 100 µg protein, lyophilized. For reconstitution add 100 µl H2O to get a 1mg/ml solution in TBS. Then aliquot and store at -20°C to -80°C until use.
Control proteins should be stored at +4°C when still lyophilized. Do not freeze!
Applications

Immunogen Recombinant protein corresponding to AA 1 to 265 from rat Syntaxin2 (UniProt Id: P50279)
Recommended dilution Optimal concentrations should be determined by the end-user.
Matching antibodies 110 022, 110 123
Remarks

This control protein consists of the recombinant protein (aa 1 - 265 of rat syntaxin 2) that has been used for immunization. It has been tested in preadsorption experiments and blocks efficiently and specifically the corresponding signal in Western blots. The amount of protein needed for efficient blocking depends on the titer and on the affinity of the antibody to the antigen.

Background

Syntaxin 2, also referred to as Epimorphin, a member of the SNARE family of proteins, is related to syntaxin 1. Like syntaxin 4 it is predominantly localized to the plasma membrane of a wide variety of cells.
Similar to syntaxins 1, 3 and 4, it appears to be involved in the fusion of transport vesicles with the plasma membrane.
