Bassoon antibody - 141 011

Bassoon is a large multi-domain protein of the presynaptic active zone
Mouse monoclonal purified IgG
Cat. No.: 141 011
Amount: 100 µg
Price: $420.00
Cat. No. 141 011 100 µg purified IgG, lyophilized. Albumin and azide were added for stabilization. For reconstitution add 100 µl H2O to get a 1mg/ml solution in PBS. Then aliquot and store at -20°C to -80°C until use.
Antibodies should be stored at +4°C when still lyophilized. Do not freeze!

Clone 219E1
Subtype IgG2b (κ light chain)
Immunogen Recombinant protein corresponding to residues near the carboxy terminus of rat Bassoon. (UniProt Id: O88778)
Reactivity Reacts with: rat (O88778), mouse (O88737).
Other species not tested yet.
Specificity Specific for Bassoon
Matching control protein/peptide 141-0P
Remarks

WB: Due to its large size, bassoon requires special gel-electrophoresis and Western blot protocols for visualization by immunoblotting. Excellent results can be obtained with the 4-12% TRIS-glycine gradient gels from anamed or NuPAGE 3-8% TRIS-Acetate gradient gels from invitrogen.
ICC: Mild fixation conditions (2 % PFA for 20 min) are recommended.
ELISA: Suitable as capture antibody for sandwich-ELISA with cat. no. 141 003 as detector antibody. The ELISA-protocol for membrane proteins is recommended.
